What the Role Involves

We are looking for a skilled consultant in software development specializing in embedded systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions tailored to the client's specific requirements and needs. You will work with the client's team to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the solutions are both scalable and robust.

Your role includes participating in the entire development process, from the initial requirements gathering to testing and deployment of the system. You will provide technical advice and support to clients to optimize their systems and processes, as well as identify and solve technical problems and bugs that may arise. Additionally, it is important that you stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends in the field to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

You will be based at our office in Karlstad, with potential assignments in Karlskoga and Örebro; the position can either be with a client or in-house.

As the position may involve work covered by defense secrecy, you are required to undergo and be approved in a security clearance with a background check.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in the role of software developer in embedded systems, you should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, or software engineering, or equivalent work experience. You should be proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and development for microcontrollers is crucial, as well as an understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or UART.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking are important traits, as well as experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) to facilitate smooth and efficient development processes. You should have good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both clients and teams. We are looking for someone who is interested in new challenges, wants to develop as a person and in your role as a consultant and engineer. You can adapt when necessary and have a curiosity that helps you find new smart solutions to challenges that arise. You should be able to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
